OMG!! Cookie!!!!! (Brown Butter Oatmeal Chunk)

It’s foodtrash time!! For some reason I have been excited to write this post all week and now that it is time to actually write it I keep procrastinating. Oh well, I guess I will go ahead and plaster these words to this page. So what is tonight topic? Cookies!! I love cookies!! If you don’t like cookies well then you are the scum of the earth. Ok maybe that was an exaggeration. Maybe not. But it probably is. Not. Ok I will stop with that now. So yeah, I love almost every cookie alive, unless it has raisins in it. I hate raisins. Bleh.
So last weekend I decides to make some cookies. Let me tell you, they were AMAZING!!!! Not only that, but I came up with the recipe all by myself!!! Ok that was a lie. I found the recipe on what is probably my favorite blog “How Sweet It Is”. So if you didn’t click that link and are still reading this blog then I will tell you what kind of cookies these are: Brown Butter Oatmeal Chunk. Which is exactly what i felt like after chowing down on these puppies. But hey, oatmeal is good for the heart right? Yeah, so brown butter, if you don’t know what it is well you should. It’s pretty much incredible. Yeah. Incredible. Here’s some pictures of me whipping these puppies up:

Such an amazing collaboration of flavored. Cinnamon, toffee, chocolate, heaven, etc. and they’re really soft 🙂 just how I like them!!

The Beginning

First post. I guess I should describe this blog a little bit. This is my first attempt at blogging, and of course, this blog about food and drink. Simple enough. I’m not sure everything that it will necessarily contain, but you can bet it will talk about the deliciousness of food or drink. You can expect a wide range of food topics, maybe a few recipes, and maybe some videos of me whipping up something very, very tasty. Well, no promises on how it will taste.

On that note I must warn you – I am the best chef to ever touch a hot skillet. False. I am not an expert when it comes to food. I just like putting it in my mouth. So, this may be the most unprofessional blog that you have ever laid eyes on, but don’t let that stop you. Lay eyes on it more.

Now that you know all of that, I hope that you decide to keep up with all of the trash that I have to say. How often will that trash be posted to this blog? I don’t know. It is verrryyyy possible that this is the only post that I will ever make. However, I hope that is not the case. I plan to plaster all of my food musings to this outlet as often as possible. That may be once a week, that may be every day. So, what will my first real post be about? It’s a mystery. Maybe I’ll cook something up and let you all read about it, or maybe I’ll write about the history of food. Unfortunately, all that I have eaten so far today is a protein bar and Cracker Barrel leftovers – country fried steak, fried okra, sweet carrots, and biscuits to be exact. If you are wondering, it tastes better when it has not been microwaved says captain obvious.

So, restaurant reviews, recipe reviews, random ramblings, and maybe my own attempts to whip up some food myself. Most of the restaurants being reviewed will likely be restaurants located right here in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, simply because that is where I live. However, it won’t only be limited to that.
